Caragh River Lodge Bed and Breakfast lies in the heart of the Kingdom of Kerry in a stunning countryside location, by the Caragh River and surrounded by magnificent mountain views. Guests can enjoy luxury accommodation, delicious home-cooking in a friendly and tranquil setting. Just 4.7km from Carrantuohill Mountain and on the Kerry Way, our location is a paradise for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. Bike hire is available and we are also happy to offer packed lunches.  We are the ideal base for exploring the Ring of Kerry, with Kenmare just 32km from our home and Cahersiveen, 35km away and have a wealth of things to do on our doorstep.

  • Ring of Kerry: The spectacular Ring of Kerry is a wonderful scenic drive around the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula. The circular route is 179km in length and takes in rugged coastal landscapes, picturesque towns and seaside villages. Places to visit include, Skellig Michael, an abandoned 7th century monastery that is reached by boat and Killarney National Park, home to Lakes of Killarney, Muckross House & Gardens, Torc Waterfall and Ross Castle.

  • The Great Outdoors: We are the perfect location for outdoor adventure pursuits such as walking, cycling, canoeing, golfing and angling to name a few. We are just 0.2km from Caragh River brimming with Wild Irish Salmon and Trout. Permits can be arranged on request. Cappanalea Activity Centre is a short drive from our home with its array of adventure activities, including stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, rock-climbing and so much more!

  • The Kerry Way: The Kerry Way is on our doorstep and is one of Ireland’s longest and most popular signposted walking trails. The circular walkway is 214km in length and has been broken down into nine different stages. Bridia Valley to Glencar covers 10.5km and takes approximately 4 hours 15 minutes to complete. Walkers will love the dramatic landscapes and mountain terrains along with the freedom of the breath-taking countryside.
